Sunset yellow powder (orange) (ci15985)

Dissolves in water giving a bright mid-orange colour. Stable to high pH so useful in cold process soaps and good for most other products. Does not go as far as some other powders once dissolved. Note: When added to high pH environments (CP Soap) this dye with appear deep orange-red but will turn back to mid orange as the pH reduces) Picture is of product diluted in water which is how it is intended to be used. Sunset Yellow FCF (also known as Orange Yellow S, FD&C Yellow 6 or Yellow 3, C.I. 15985) is a synthetic yellow azo dye, manufactured from aromatic hydrocarbons. When sold for use in foods, it is denoted by E Number E110.

The strength of colour obtained from any dye or pigment is dependent upon the concentration used.
